the big impact

“Little by little, a little becomes a lot” by Tanzanian proverb

What is the big impact and why dose it matter

I chose the quote the start this page because it truly is the summary of what I am trying to achieve and what the industry needs to achieve in order to change the impact on the environment the media industry has is larger than anyone imagined and the irony in the situation is that is not about how much carbon it produces but how it leads people the world looks at it's media industries to set examples of what humanity should have and achieve an incredible example of this is back to the future weather's people who watched it years ago believed in the age that we are now we would be flying in cars and rocking around the streets on hover boats the media industry has to be held accountable for the incredible weight that it bears so for creating expectations of who we are as a people and why we should care it can do this in a couple of ways to start with becoming carbon neutral itself but change doesn't happen overnight and despite what we'd like to believe companies need incentives in order to change as cost means everything to those people in power in this article I will show you how governments are trying to persuade the industry into a new way of thinking and how the industry is shifting its power and it's incredible responsibility help drive change in the world for the better

Individual Projest plan

Describe the form of your project.

The music video I've decided to make falls in line with a sing-along where the text will pop up; however, I will use the background to display imagery that promotes wind farms. The video will be approximately 3 minutes long and consist of both stop motion live action and a bit of 2D animation. The intention is to create a seamless effect with CGI elements unnoticeable by people who aren't actively looking for them.

What is the purpose of your project?

I intend to capture the audience's interest in wind power; however, whereas some music videos can be entirely in your face about the message they're trying to tell, I want to be more subtle, allowing people to enjoy the song and sociated with the message I'm trying to tell which is the fact that wind farms are a massive part of a sustainable future.

Describe the context of your project.

I will keep the base team of these effortless, using a series of snapshot images used in many of these videos for transitions to keep the story flowing and to make it not become stagnant. I haven't had one thing happen for the entire thing or had the text floating around the screen, which is also extremely common in this kind of video as it gives more life and death to what's happening.

Give a detailed description of your target audience.

The video is going to be geared towards a younger audience. The ones are actively trying to promote an environmental message and how the video will play gears towards a more relaxed, laid-back view better described as their general feel on life. However, this also works as a benefit because the laid-back nature of the message is not in your face, which means it may also appeal to some of the older generations as it is not promoting the news in a way that is a particularly negative view or two in your face.

What is the intended impact? Please explain how you will measure the product's effectiveness.

There are two significant factors for feedback with the audience, and that is finding out if the message you are trying to provide is there and is evident to the audience, not just to the creator, as it is easy for me to see a message that I'm putting into it but it may be too subtle for the audience to find so I will be doing a focus group of people they are a mix of multiple with a combination of music tastes to see if a message comes across clearly to them the other way is throughout the process double checking my development with a loop of feedback from peers and external sources to ensure the message I'm trying to come across is apparent straight away from the get-go while also developing the story and the narrative of the video.

Outline your research plans and how you intend to use the results.

I began to attack it from two angles again regarding research. One is what multiple variants of the idea I've got and see what I like about different elements of them, then create a list of what attributes I want to take forward into developing my video. The other is to look at what's working online and see which ones are gaining the most active watch time via sites such as YouTube and Spotify as it is an excellent way to gauge if the video is being watched and therefore Bing engaged with as well as taking what is a working formula and adapting it towards my project.

How/why does your idea meet the brief?

It fits the brief down to the fact that I am trying for both scenarios. The situation why creating a video about the environment only makes sense if it is environmentally friendly within itself. I intend to use a series and means using alternative power sources and electric vehicles to film on set while also ensuring that the footprint I leave in those areas is minimal to ensure that the site's natural beauty remains the same. There are other steps I can take to increase my sustainability, but that will come later in my planning as the need arises. This music video provides solid imagery of wind power and what it is being used for. It will also promote the use of environmental products and how sustainability is essential; therefore, it also fits into the criteria.
